Cryogenically treated turning tools offer many of the characteristics of powdered metal tools, without the cost. The cryogenic treatment process utilizes sub-zero temperatures, down to -300°F, creating a more uniform grain structure that allows you to hone to a fine edge providing you with a tool that will hold an edge that will last 2-3 times longer that standard tools. Used much like a traditional skew chisel for beading and finish cuts, the rounded sides allow for easy movement across the tool rest. Each tool is mounted in a European ash wood handle. Blade length is 6- 1/2", handle length 10- 1/8", overall length 16- 3/8".
