Product Description
A good quality bench chisel is an absolute essential for the woodworkers tool box. The super cold of cryogenic treatment changes the molecular structure of the steel and vastly improves its edge retention ability. The blades are mirror polished and are honed and ready to go (though we recommend the user do a little extra final honing to their satisfaction before use). The edges are beveled to help get into tight areas, as when cleaning up narrow mortises or dovetails.
Completing the chisels are beautiful 5-1/4" long stained black Ash handles, which are contoured for a better grip and comfort in use. The handles are reinforced at top and bottom with steel ferrules so that you may feel at ease in striking them with a mallet when necessary. Depending on the size, the chisels in the set have an overall length of approximately 10-13/4" to 11-3/4", with a blade length of 4-3/4" to 5-3/4".
