A specialist chisel designed for chiselling mortices but which can also be used for heavy duty work. Originally made for shipbuilders, the registered mortice chisel is available in widths up to 2in (50mm) for constructing substantial framing. Fitted with steel double hooped ash handle to withstand repeated mallet blows. A strong well balanced tool for general applications.
